Harley-Davidson RIDING ACADEMY® New Rider Course (NRC)

The New Rider Course is aimed at beginning or re-entry riders. A minimum of five hours of online training instruction prepares the student for at least ten hours of practical riding in a controlled, off-street environment. Motorcycles are included in your fee. Motorcycles used in the course are Harley Davison training bikes. The course concludes with a knowledge test and a skill evaluation. The course completion card will assist you in obtaining a motorcycle endorsement on your license, since the skill portion of the exam will be waived. Completion may also qualify the student for reduced insurance premiums on their motorcycle policy Class will start Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. at CTC with on-bike exercises and will last until about 5:00 p.m. with a break for lunch. Class will start again on Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. at CTC and will be a mixture of classroom instruction and on-bike exercises until completion. The minimum age for enrollment is 15-1/2 years of age. The NRC will be offered beginning in April and ending in October. Payment in full is required to secure your place in this class. $135 of the total fee is non-refundable. You are eligible to receive a partial ($100) refund, if you contact us to transfer or withdraw from a class with 14 or more calendar days' notice. If a class is cancelled by the CTC, you will receive a full refund. Additionally, failure to complete the required 5-hour online course prior to your class start time, or failure to complete the hands-on skills portion of the course for any reason or inability to successfully complete the course, does not entitle you to ANY refund.

This course now requires a 5-hour online training session. Once your required paperwork has been completed and turned in, you will be emailed the link to register to take the on-line course.
