ServSafe Training Class

What is it?
A ServSafe certificate is a basic credential
for restaurant and food managers. This
training class is a two day food safety
training and certificate class with an optional
third day if needed to take the exam.
Who has to have it?
All managers employed in food
establishments in Cape Girardeau
County are required to have a valid Food
Management Certificate according to the
Cape Girardeau County Food Code adopted
November 20, 2008. Certification is good for 5 years
When will it take effect?
It became mandatory on January 15, 2012.

Class Meets 3 nights 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. (Third
Night is for Test)
Class Cost $159.00
(Includes Book and Exam)
Students must pick up book at the CTC at least 1 week before class starts.
