This class will introduce practices of Mindfulness that are used in clinical settings for stress reduction. Mindful breathing, mindful movement, mindfulness of body sensations for use in both stress and pain relief, and more. In addition, students will learn how these practices work and be given tools for integrating mindfulness practices into their daily lives. The class will also discuss the importance of mindful eating habits.
NOTE: Students should wear loose fitting clothing and bring a Yoga mat. If you need to eat something before class, please eat something light, like a salad or an apple.
NOTE: You must be 18 years of age or older to take this class.
