Emergency Medical Technician

The course will cover all areas of Basic Life Support including airway care, oxygen therapy, patient assessment, trauma, medical emergencies, obstetrics, disaster management, and other topics. A minimum of 154 lecture and practical hours, plus 80 hospital/ambulance clinical hours is required. Successful students can sit for the National Registry Practical and Written exams. A score of 50% is required on the TEAS assessment for admission. Students will also be enrolled in the Emergency Operator 5 (CEVO5) drivers training course. Half of the balance must be paid by the first night of class. Upon completing this program, students will be eligible to sit for the National Registry Certification Exam for EMT-Basic.Become a Nationally Registered EMT!
