The EMT Program is a Basic Life Support level program designed to prepare the individual for the application skills in the field environment of an emergency ambulance. The program will cover all areas of Basic Life Support including airway care, oxygen therapy, patient assessment, trauma, medical emergencies, obstetrics, disaster management, and other topics. A minumum of 154 lecture and practical hours, plus 80 hospital/ambulance clinical hours is required. Successful students will be eligible to sit for the National Registry Practical and Written exams. A score of 50 is required on the ATI - TEAS test assessment for admission. Students who are currently enrolled in an EMT or EMT Paramedic class are eligible to enroll in the Emergency Operator 3: Ambulance (CEV03) for FREE. Note: You must be 18 years of age or older to enroll in this class.
