Harley-Davidson RIDING ACADEMY® New Rider Course (NRC)

The New Rider Course is aimed at beginning or re-entry riders. A minimum of five (5) hours of online training instruction prepares the student for at least ten hours of practical riding in a controlled, off-street environment. Motorcycles are included in your fee. Motorcycles used in the course are Harley Davison training bikes. The course concludes with a knowledge test and a skill evaluation. The course completion card will assist you in obtaining a motorcycle endorsement on your license, since the skill portion of the exam will be waived. Completion may also qualify the student for reduced insurance premiums on their motorcycle policy. The first class session starts on Friday evening at Lawless Harley-Davidson at 5p.m. & will run until approximately 7p.m. The RIDING portion of the course starts promptly at 7AM Saturday morning at CTC with on-bike exercises and will last until about 3:00 p.m. with NO BREAK break for lunch. We encourage you to bring snacks and water/soft drinks. Class will resume again at 7 AM Sunday morning at CTC and will be a mixture of classroom instruction and on-bike exercises until completion at about 3 PM. The minimumage for enrollment is 15-1/2 years of age. The NRC is offered beginning in April and ending in October. Payment in full is required to secure your place in this class. $100 of the total fee is non-refundable. Students may not transfer out of a class if there is less than one week remaining before the class begins.

This paperwork needs to be returned as soon as possible to complete this portion of your registration. This course requires a 5-hour online training session. When your scheduled class date is 30 days out, you will receive an email with a link to register to take the online course. The on-line session must be completed before your first in-person class.
