Introduction to Sewing

Students will be trained in the basics of thread, thread quality, types of needles, threading a machine, sewing of buttons, zippers, snaps, hooks and repairing of clothing. The course will conclude with each student making their own apron utilizing all of their skills acquired in the course. Students must bring a sewing machine in good working condition. $38 Project Materials Fee payble to the instructor 1st night of class includes a Sewing Kit. The Sewing Kit contents will include scissors, ruler, marker, thread, straight pens and a pin cushion. Students must bring their own sewing machine that is completely in working order.
